Being a fan of the Dexter series, I couldn t resist this title I also happen to be a fan of books movies where banks are cleverly robbed or bad people conned This story has it all Riley Wolfe, who was not born with this grand name, makes a living and a very good one by cleverly stealing from rich people, who did not earn their money in an honest way That he has to kill someone in the process every now and then, is something he doesn t see as a problem In Just Watch Me he is not planning to steal any money he is aiming for something smaller but far valuable We follow Riley s preparations almost in detail, but we also follow the FBI agent that has his heart and mind set on unmasking Riley for what he is and bring him to court The story is being told from different viewpoints which makes it an entertaining read Riley has a lot in common with Dexter, so do not expect him to be all that likable The story sets off at a good pace but it is a bit slow in the middle and, sadly to say, at the end However, if this is the start of a new series, I would surely like to read the next book. Thanks to Edelweiss and Dutton for this digital review copy.

If you loved the Dexter books as much as I did, then you must meet Riley Wolfe, Lindsay s newestuh we can t really call him a hero as he s a thief and a con man but I found myself cheering him on anyway He s a master of disguises, clever, and snarky as they come, but what a great ride His latest caper is a plan to steal the crown jewels coming to America for a museum tour Who could pull off this heist as there will be armed guards from both countries and a better than state of the art security system Don t underestimate Riley With the help of his friend Monique, a talented art forger, the plan is in motion and you can t get off this roller coaster So glad to know it s 1 in the Riley Wolfe series as I m waiting on pins and needles for the sequel Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC

When it is hot as heck outside and there is nothing cool to do but reading sitting in front of the a c as everything else makes you end up a sweaty mess, it is the perfect day for a speed reader Yes it is hot and humid in Canada I received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do A masterful thief plots an impossible crime stealing the Iranian Crown Jewels From the author of the wildly successful Dexter series comes a new, mesmerizing bad guy we can root for Riley Wolfe He s a master thief, expert at disguise, and not averse to violence when it s needed It s no accident, though, that Riley targets the wealthiest 0.1 per cent and is willing to kill them when they re in his way he despises the degenerate and immoral rich and loves stealing their undeserved and unearned valuables In this series launch, Riley aims for an extraordinary target in a heist that will make history Riley will try to steal the Crown Jewels of Iran Yes, these jewels are worth billions, but the true attraction for grabbing them comes down to one simple fact it can t be done Stealing these jewels is absolutely impossible The collection is guarded by space age electronics and two teams of heavily armed mercenaries No one could even think of getting past the airtight security and hope to get away alive, let alone with even a single diamond from the Imperial Collection No one but Riley Wolfe He s always liked a challenge But this challenge may be than even he can handle Aside from the impenetrable security, Riley is also pursued by a brilliant and relentless cop who is barely a step behind him With the aid of his sometime ally, a beautiful woman who is a master art forger, Riley Wolfe goes for the prize that will either make him a legend or, likely, leave him dead.YAAAAY a book that I read today that I liked Only a SUPER speed reader would write that I love Riley Wolfe freaking love him I love devious people and this plot showcases him extremely well The plot is tense and tight and I was rooting for the theft to take place and I cannot wait for the second book 3rd, 4th, 5th in the series I have never read any of the Dexter books but I am not sure if I could love a serial killer as much as I admire someone targetting the uber uber rich This is a great book for anyone in search of a great twisty crime novel bring on the diamonds, Mr Wolfe Mr Wolfe Bring on the CSI Miami flashbacks As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I love emojis outside of their incessant use by Social Influencer Millennials on Instagram and Twitter so let s give it

3.5 starsHaving read some of the Dexter books and being a fan of the show, I was excited to try out the new book by this author One of my favorite things about this book is that it actually reads like a heist movie I thought it was really well done Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I felt like it dragged in places and I am not sure if I would be interested in a series This was a fun one off book, but I think a whole series reading about Riley s heists could get a little boring Thank you to Penguin Publishing Group for my copy of this book via Edelweiss

I love Jeff Lindsay s warped talent for making us root for the most despicable of characters The narrative voice is so engaging that one slips into the story like slipping into a warm bubble bath okay not quite a warm bubble bath because there are hopefully no psychopaths in the bath with you A fun and quick read.

This is a masterful heist thriller that is one helluva fun read The plot is positively genius Riley Wolfe is a master thief He is feeling somewhat stale He needs a challenge So he sets his sights on the Iranian Crown Jewels In particular, the Daryayeh E Noor , The Ocean of Light, a huge, flawless pink diamond that is worth at least fifteen billion dollars That s right, that s billion, with a B Riley is a complex and intriguing character Through his backstory we discover what makes him tick His pyschological make up And The Darkness.Riley is not averse to murder if someone stands in the way of a plan.Still, all in all, he s a likable guy.So, with the assistance of his sometimes ally, the beautiful art forger, Monique, he sets off on a seemingly impossible quest One that will be the greatest heistever.Riley will have to overcome many obstacles The least of which is FBI Special Agent Frank Delgado.Delgado is an intelligent and tenacious agent who s been on Riley s trail for years He s made it his personal mission to bring Riley Wolfe down. This story is about as exhilarating as it gets The writing is excellent and the idea is sheer brilliance.Bonus Riley enjoys listening to music while working out his schemes, so there s a killer soundtrack to this tale. This is the start of a new series i can t wait for the next one. Will Riley s plan work Well Riley Wolfe s 1 Law is There s always a way.Just watch him This was an ARC giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

Being a fan of the Dexter series I was initially disappointed to be declined an electronic version of this new book Later, I was thrilled to get the chance to read an advanced physical copy of this new book, the start of a new series even, by Jeff Lindsay Hearing it was about someone who steals from and sometimes kills the 1%, I was worried it would rehash ground covered thoroughly by Dexter The comparisons are, thankfully, limited It is really two different looks at anti social personality disorders Of course, Riley has a background that has led to his specific way of showing his disorder His father is out of his life very early and it causes drastic and sudden changes in his life that he never really gets over He hates the 1% Specifically, he hates those who got that way without working or, even worse, by taking advantage of others Sometimes this leads his plans for his victims He has no sympathy for the big pharma guy who charges half a million per dose for cancer medication Who does Sometimes he searches for the dark side of someone just to give himself the reason. Now, that is not to say that you necessarily like Riley He is a little too smooth and charming He is a little too cocky and ruthless to really like him Doesn t mean you don t want to see what he can do You do Americans have a soft spot for a good heist Unlike most heist stories, this is brutal Which probably makes it a tad realistic in that respect We romanticize con men and mobsters But with Riley we are forced to face who these guys can truly be And yet We want him to get what is dueeventually.Along with Riley we are introduced to Monique I hope future stories have Monique In this book we got a little of her background I want so much She was instrumental in the heist but seemed to really drive the story by showing us just how creepy Riley is The way Riley sees Monique is a direct window into who he is and why we cannot really like him More Monique next time Maybe women who actually speak to other women I don t think any women interacted at all in the entire thing Work on that. And we have to have the lawman doggedly trailing Riley Though he seems like a cliche, we have to have him Frank Delgado is an FBI agent who reminds you of the gumshoes from old noir His story is happening alongside Riley s You never really think he is going to catch him, but you love to see how close he can get Frank is another character that needs backstory in the future He needs page time His inner, and really outer, voice was a welcome contrast to Riley s.All in all, you are immersed in this world Once you get in, you are in no hurry to get out but you read through with as few breaks as possible because something is always happening This is what a lot of novels miss You can have suspense without having a bunch of down time When you are done, you want back in I look forward to the future of this series. Thanks to Jeff Lindsay and Penguin Group Dutton for sending me this advanced copy for my honest review.

Riley Wolfe is a fantastic character in his own right, but it s not inaccurate to assume that if you love Dexter, you ll like Riley, too He s smart, funny, a quick thinker with some quirks, and has a literal rack full of personalities He also provides a soundtrack to coincide with his event planning Special Agent Frank Delgado can t let the past stay there, and uses his vacation time to start his own background research and one man hunt for Riley Wolfe Also stacked against Wolfe in his theft of the Iranian Crown Jewels are former SEALS, ultra high tech security, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard But Riley has been working on his parkour, knows a beautiful and capable artist art forger, and has the costumes to assume some alternate identities Thanks to Dutton of Penguin Publishing Group and NetGalley for the provided e ARC and the opportunity to read this book My review is honest, unbiased, and voluntary NetGalley JustWatchMe
